Cambodia selects 5,000 men for first 2026 military service intake

The Ministry of National Defence selected 5,000 male candidates for the first intake of military service, after reviewing applications submitted by citizens, the ministry said today.

The ministry added, municipal and district military police commands would notify successful candidates. Applicants can also check the list through the National Military Service Committee’s website at nmsc.gov.kh or contact the military police command in their area of residence for further information.

Notified candidates must assemble at 6am next Wednesday at the Military Operations Area Command in their respective provinces, the ministry said.

Candidates from Phnom Penh, Kratie, Kampong Cham, Tboung Khmum, Prey Veng and Svay Rieng must assemble at their respective municipal or provincial military police headquarters before travelling together to a training school for physical fitness and medical examinations.

They are required to bring their application receipts, national identification cards and necessary personal belongings.
