White House’s Next News Network correspondent says he is honored to stand with Cambodians for justice

The White House correspondent for the US President’s Next News Network says he is truly honored to stand with the Cambodian people for justice for Cambodia.
Gary Franchi wrote on his Facebook page on August 19 that he did not seek honor or fame from reporting on the Cambodia-Thai conflict but he only wanted to do what he knew was right in his heart, and this was also the only principle he had regarding what he saw as right or wrong.
Gary Franchi said that without Michael B. Alfaro, who brought the Cambodian situation to his attention, he would not have been able to help spread the word about the suffering and resilience of the Cambodian people at that crucial time.
He added that there are many people in professions like his who choose to remain ignorant of the pain of others. But as a journalist, you must have the courage to shed light into the darkness, to help justice have a chance to emerge one day.
Gary French said that he was very happy to receive a letter of appreciation and thanks from the North Carolina Khmer Association.
He emphasized that he accepted this letter of appreciation and thanks not for himself alone, but on behalf of the victims who are willing to help tell their stories to the world at this time.
The President of the Cambodian Association of North Carolina, Mr. Thatch Seiha, wrote a letter of appreciation to the Chief White House Press Secretary, Gary Franchi, on August 19, 2025.
The content of this letter states that, as a representative of the Cambodian community, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for Mr. Gary Franchi’s commitment to providing truth and justice by raising the voice of the Cambodian people in the horrific and violent crisis that erupted along the Cambodian-Thai border recently.
The letter states that Gary Franchi’s efforts have given a voice to the Cambodian community in protesting for justice, especially the presence of Michael B Alfaro, who helped make the world aware of Cambodia’s desire for peace at this time.
Regarding this issue, Gary Franchi wrote on his Facebook page on August 16 that US President Donald Trump’s advisor, Michael B Alfaro, had arrived in Cambodia and reported directly from the Cambodia-Thailand border.
There he saw Thai forces erecting barbed wire fences, forcing Cambodians from their homes, targeting civilians, including children, and destroying communities, according to Michael B Alfaro. sent directly to Donald Trump.
