A public hearing on plans to replace the Market Street Bridge over the Western Canal is today, Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at the Pollard Memorial Library Meeting Room, 401 Merrimack Street in Lowell. The meeting will be conducted by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
The project involves replacing the bridge and reconstructing the roadway and sidewalks along Market Street between Suffolk and Lewis Streets (near St. Patrick’s Church).
The purpose of this meeting is to explain to the public the plans for the bridge and to allow the public, especially people who live or own businesses near the bridge, to express their concerns. Anyone who wishes to speak or ask questions may do so at the meeting.
